What we collect
Pledge: your district. If you choose, your first name and a phone number or email for one census reminder.
Join: your name, an email or phone number, your district and how you want to help. If you choose, your college or workplace and a message.
We never ask for religion, caste, your full address or any ID number. Forms are for people aged 18 or older.
Why
To count pledges by district, to send the reminder you asked for, and to put you in touch with coordinators near you. Nothing else.
Who can see it
At most two coordinators, using accounts protected by two-factor login. We never sell or share your data. Only district totals of pledges are ever published, and only once a district has at least 10 pledges.
How long we keep it
Names and contact details given with a pledge are deleted by 30 April 2027. District totals are kept. Join details are kept while you are part of the movement, and deleted when you ask.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time. Write to contact@symi.in. We reply within 7 days.
Technical details
We use no tracking cookies. Visitor statistics are counted without cookies. To stop abuse of our forms we use Cloudflare Turnstile and store a one-way, daily-changing code derived from your connection, never your IP address itself.
